Activity 1: Who are we?

  1. Complete this survey.
  2. View summary report and full data set.
  3. Demonstration: Create and publish a chart.
  4. Demonstration: Self Grading Quiz (Your answer to the last question on the survey will be graded!)

Activity 2: Google Docs in Action

Each team will be assigned one of the following tasks:
  • Doc: Write an essay or epic poem about your favorite teachers (or students) (bonus pts for including images) 
  • Presentation: Create a visual presentation about your "dream job" and why you should be hired (bonus pts for multimedia) - MIKE 
  • Spreadsheet: Create a spreadsheet of 5 different fun stats on the people in your group (bonus pts for creating a chart or graph)  - http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=t3lV3vwxszA_aCOJ52a3SdQ&output=html
  • Form: Create a fun quiz with at least 8 questions (bonus pts for making it "self grading") - JOHN
  • Mixed Media: Use a doc, spreadsheet, and preso to help Santa's elves prepare for Christmas (bonus pts for integrating Google Earth) - JO
  • Got another idea?  Pitch it to the workshop leader fast!
  1. Teams have 10 minutes to collaboratively complete the task.
  2. One member of each small group will present the file to the large group in 2 min or less.
  3. Large group brainstorm: How can you immediately use Docs?
