GWE_Sites_RCGoogle Workshop for Educators - GWE_Sites_RC Activity
- With a small group of three, create a Google Site. (One participant will create the site and add others as collaborators.)
- Decide on a topic for the site. Ideally this will be something that a student or teacher might use. (Or something fun to liven up the afternoon!)
- Create a new page
- Add a YouTube video to your page.
- Insert an image to your page.
- Embed something from another session to your google site.
- Locate your navigation and learn how to manage and publish.
- Collaborate on your site, learn how to invite!
- Practice adding pages and content.
- Practice embedding documents, presentations, videos, and more.
- Add the lead learner as a collaborator on your site. Links to each site will be shared below.
- A representative from each group will share their site with the large group. (Time Permitting)

Management Tips with Sites, Apps and Students
- Add teacher as collaborator immediately
- Create a site category that all students put in to reflect topic
- Have students move or delete their own site prior to end of school year
- Add personal email account as collaborator as well to the sites you create
- Add an "s" after http to make the site secure
