Activity 1: Google Docs in Action

Each team will be assigned one of the following tasks:  
  • Doc: Write an essay or epic poem about your favorite teachers (or students) (bonus pts for including images) 
  • Presentation: Create a visual presentation about what you would do with a million dollars (bonus points for multimedia) 
  • Spreadsheet: Create a spreadsheet of 5 different fun stats on the people in your group (bonus points for creating a chart or graph) 
  1. Teams have 10 minutes to collaboratively complete the task.
  2. Make sure you share the doc with everyone on your team and also with henrythiele@gmail.com
  3. One member of each small group will present the file to the large group in 2 min or less.


Activity 2: Forms

Forms can be used for so many things such as pre-test, post-tests, data-collection, meeting minutes, simple answer keys for quick grading, sign-up, and more. 
  1. Create a form that you could use in your classroom/location in the near future.
  2. Send the "live form" link to colleagues so they can fill out your form.
  3. Share the results with colleagues or publish them as a web page. 
  4. Make sure you share the form with everyone on your team and also with henrythiele@gmail.com
  5. One member of each small group will present the file to the large group in 2 min or less.

Activity 3: Drawings

Drawings are easy to create, publish, and link to from other documents. For this activity:
  1. Create a Drawing
  2. Publish your Drawing
  3. Link to it from inside a Google Document
  4. Publish the Document
  5. Make sure you share the document with everyone on your team and also with henrythiele@gmail.com
  6. One member of each small group will present the file to the large group in 2 min or less.
