Google Web Search- Classroom Lessons and Resources

The Search Education lessons were developed by Google Certified Teachers to help you do just that. The lessons are short, modular and not specific to any discipline so you can mix and match to what best fits the needs of your classroom. Additionally, all lessons come with a companion set of slides (and some with additional resources) to help you guide your in-class discussions.

Activity On Your Own This Week
  • To prepare for our session next week, please take a moment to create a Google Account prior to the beginning of the webinar.
Need help?  No problem, follow the steps on this page.

Next Week...
  • Google Docs and Spreadsheets
  • In preparation for our future sessions together, please create a free Gmail or free Google Account if you do not already have one.  If you prefer not to have another e-mail address, you can choose the Google Account; otherwise, I would suggest creating a Gmail account.

    To create a Gmail account:
    1. Visit https://www.gmail.com
    2. Click on "Create an account" in the lower right.
    3. Follow the instructions.

    To create a Google Account:
  • Visit https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount
  • Enter your current email address
  • Choose a password
  • Once you've finished registering, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to complete the verification process.

NOTE: All Gmail accounts are also Google accounts. You can also create a Google account using a different existing email, so not all Google accounts are Gmail accounts.  (If that confuses you, flip a coin and go with the result - either works fine for what we'll be doing.)

  • Please submit your Gmail or Google Account address to the Lead Learner using this form:

Gmail or Google Account Address
