Completed on Day 1
1. As you participate in the tech tool rotations and other activities today, consider which of the tools you might want to explore in more depth on day two of the Google Workshop for Educators. 2. Your Personal Action Plan will be developed as a reflection of day one. You will need to come up with your “Top 3” Google things to do over the next school year. Try to be as specific as you can so that you have goals with a plan! To Do on Day 2 3. On day two, you will work on one of your Personal Action Plan goals. Make sure to work with a partner or a small group of people so that you can share ideas freely. 4. Keep an open mind about collaborating with others who teach different grades or different subjects—or who have other roles as educators. You may be pleasantly surprised by the results of collaborating outside your own professional silo. 5. On day two create a Proof-of-Concept Project that: o Utilizes at least one Google tool o Is tailored for a specific educational purpose, subject or curriculum area o Illustrates how you or students would use the tool 6. This is an exercise in "rapid prototyping." You will need to exercise your creativity and put your innovative streak to work. We look forward to seeing what you produce. 7. Each group of partners will have 15 minutes to share their project with others in a small group. 8. Finally, your team will share one of the projects with the large group. 9. Each of your projects will also be mentioned to the large group so that others might contact you if they are interested in your project. |
